Hi Friend,

"All disease begins in the gut," the Greek physician Hippocrates, the "father of medicine", is supposed to have said over 2,000 years ago.

While that may not be entirely true, it was definitely an amazing insight that scientists have only very recently begun to truly appreciate.

Gut health is not something to overlook.

I speak from experience.

Readers who've been with me a while know from prior newsletters that I used to suffer from leaky gut (a.k.a. intestinal hyperpermeability). My symptoms included hives and other types of itchy skin rashes, migraines, brain fog, numbness and tingling in my hands, and what the doctors meaninglessly labeled "IBS", which is basically just their term for gut problems that they don't understand the cause of and have no interest in trying to figure out.

I had to confront my fair share of ignorant, arrogant, and condescending doctors in my struggle to try to get help. In the end, they all proved worthless, and I had to figure it out on my own in spite of them.

Today, I no longer suffer from those symptoms because I diagnosed myself with leaky gut, and my self-diagnosis enabled me to take steps to, first, stop damaging my gut, and, second, to take additional steps to help my gut lining heal.

If you'd like to learn more about my story, including steps I took to overcome this health challenge, you can download My Leaky Gut Story here.

While the doctors I met with personally were typically less than useless, I shouldn't say that none helped me. I found great info from good doctors online that helped point me in the right direction in the medical literature.

These were the types of "alternative" practitioners that the mainstream doctors I saw would consider "quacks". But I learned from experience who the real quacks are.

I also came to conclude through my research that probably most Americans suffer from leaky gut to one extent or another but have no idea.

With one exception, all the doctors I saw refused to even acknowledge its existence, despite it being a completely uncontroversial condition in the medical literature.

One journal article I read described leaky gut as a prerequisite condition for at least 50 different autoimmune diseases.

So, if you or anyone you love is suffering from gut symptoms -- or mystery symptoms that might not seem to be gut-related but very well could be (e.g., migraines) -- check out this upcoming online "Gut Rescue Summit":

It will run from March 11 - March 17.

Best Regards,

Jeremy

P.S. -- As I've mentioned in prior newsletters, I haven't written much in recent months because, among other priorities I've been preoccupied with, I've been busy preparing for an important debate at the Soho Forum in New York City on the root cause of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

But when educational resources come my way that I think many of my subscribers could benefit from, I like to pass them along!

Here's the link again to sign up for the Gut Rescue Summit.
